Meet Mrs. Tracey

Hi,

I have a strong passion for making a difference in the lives of students.  I will love each and every one of them.  I have a strong passion for my students to enjoy learning.  So, I try to make it fun!  I tend to be a very enthusiastic and entertaining kind of person.  So, I assure you boredom will not be an issue.  I do expect each one of my students to learn and be respectful.  I love the quote by Dr. Madeline Hunter: "A child will never care how much you know, until they know how much you care."

I have also written a book that is on sale through Amazon.com and at the Neighborhood Tutor.  It is one of my greatest accomplishments.  It's a resource book for teachers.  I'm so proud of it that I just had to mention it.  Below is a photo of it:

Another one of my greatest career accomplishments was being announced "Teacher of the Year" for Atoka Elementary for 2009-2010.  This was quite an honor, and I thank my co-workers for entrusting me with that title.
Now on a personal note.... below are my other greatest accomplishments!

I have 3 daughters.  They grow up so fast!  I know parents hear that all of the time, but I never took it seriously until my own children grew up.  My oldest, Audrey, is starting her fourth year at University of Memphis majoring in Elementary Education.  My middle child, Kaleigh, is a Junior at University of Memphis majoring in Art, and my youngest, Emilee, is beginning her first year at Union University majoring in nursing. I have an amazingly patient husband, Chuck, who is a chemical engineer for Owens-Corning.  One of my biggest hobbies is doing photography with my daughter, Kaleigh.  We have a complete blast.  We've done babies, couples, engagement and wedding photos.

I have wonderful   parents that have been married for more than 60 years.
I would like to thank you for entrusting your child with me this year.  I would love open and direct communication.  I love to text!  That is probably the best way to get in touch with me.  I can text and still do other things.  My cell is 901-573-4041. Feel free to contact me at any time.  Thank you.                      The picture (taken several years ago) below is one of my favorites!  I shows how silly we can act.

LET'S HAVE A GREAT YEAR! WHOO HOO!
